Read questions 1 and then read each paragraph from A to D or until you find the answer.

* if you don’t find the answer in 2 minutes, mark it and go back later.

** if the answer is in the first paragraph, or second paragraph, stop reading and go back to the questions. Don’t worry, you will eventually read all the paragraphs with this method but save time.

*** look for synonyms or words with similar meanings. If it’s the exact meaning be suspicious that it’s a trick.

**** in the instructions notice that ‘you may use any letter more than once’.

Go to question 2 read the question and then read all the paragraphs until you find the answer. Then cross out that paragraph, fill in the table and go on to 3.

Repeat until they are all finished. If there is one you couldn’t find in 2 minutes or that you weren’t sure about, go back to it.
